Rebecca Nelson

Rebecca Coe Nelson was born in Ruidoso, New Mexico.  Her ancestors came from Missouri and settled in Lincoln County, New Mexico in 1871, and were pioneers in the truest sense of the word.  Musical and artistic talents are a common thread through the generations of her family.

Working in several different mediums, she is always exploring and experimenting, following every creative impulse as it comes. The fruits of her imagination are manifested in everything she creates. From pen and ink, watercolor and acrylic painting, children’s book illustration, to woodcarving, the possibilities for creating are endless.

“It is my desire to embrace all that is delightful to me, and translate it into something I can share with others, which I hope will spark their imaginations. I believe everyone has a creative side that craves expression.”
